 September 9 – 12, 2012 – Niagara Falls, Ontario

The CSSE 2012 Professional Development Conference is shaping up to be yet another example of programming excellence!
With four powerful keynote sessions and an expanded program of 47 workshops (including six half-day workshops) delivered by international experts, this is an educational and networking opportunity you won’t want to miss.

And have we mentioned the wonderful location?  Niagara Falls, Ontario

Imagine being this close to such a natural wonder!  Our host hotel (the largest, most luxurious, 4 Diamond, Falls view accommodations in Niagara Falls), the Sheraton on the Falls, is located directly across from the extraordinary spectacle that is the roaring, tumbling, magnificent Falls … right in the heart of Niagara’s premier Falls view tourist district.  At night, the magnificent Niagara Falls are spectacularly lit and seasonal fireworks ignite the dark sky.  The CSSE 2012 PDC & Exhibition really is the must-attend conference of the year.

CSSE 2010! My First Time at the CSSE Annual Conference: An Event Worth Attending. An Article by Phil Lucas ME

An Article by Phil Lucas ME

You do not have to be a safety professional to attend this great annual CSSE conference. I am a non-safety professional that has spent many years in the operations section in the electrical utility sector and was fortunate to be able to attend the 2010 conference in Halifax. As this was my first CSSE conference, I found all the sessions that I attended were diverse in topics and were presented by highly qualified speakers.

I viewed state of the art products in the exhibition area and found that the exhibitors were very knowledgeable and helpful. You do not just come away from this conference with a rejuvenated approach for safety; you come away with an abundance of best practices to bring back to your organization.

Many employers believe that health and safety efforts must be “balanced” with productivity and financial concerns to ensure that the company stays in business. Their idea is that money spent on health and safety is money taken away from profit. Not so. The same management practices that lead to healthy and safe employees also lead to a healthy bottom line. So by sending employees to the annual CSSE conference, whether they are safety professionals or non-safety professionals, it should lead to safer employees and a better bottom line.

Oh, did I forget to mention how great the lobster was!
